Fantasy 3D printables miniatures I have been designing and sculpting for use in tabletop roleplaying games or as proxies in tabletop wargaming at 32mm scale.

These were created in the context of my Somatia dark-fantasy worldbuilding project. Loosely inspired by the classic fairy tale of the Sleeping Beauty, a.k.a. Briar Rose, I played around with the idea of a princess awakened from a coma through magical means. But in this case, awakened by a bewitched rose hip growing out of her skull, imbuing her with a mystical connection to her fae forebears and occult dominion over plants and vines. Galvanized by ancestral purpose, she brings back the skeletons of long-dead knights and paladins to fight alongside her, puppeteered by enchanted vines.

The thorns and roses motifs are incorporated throughout the character design, into the heraldry, ornaments, and bases of the characters, both living and dead. The armor designs mix medieval and bronze-age aesthetic, in a romantic interpretation of ancient fae-touched warriors.

Sculpted in Zbrush, rendered in Blender, and printed using Lychee Slicer on a Sonic Mini 4K.
